We have employed an external consultancy to map and measure our carbon footprint. This company will be working with us to implement a strategy to reduce our own, our clients' and our suppliers' impact on the environment.
Society Media powers its computers, lights, kettle and offices with renewable energy procured from the UK's leading green electricity supplier Ecotricity, who we strongly recommend.
Society Media is a champion of green printing processes and products. By working with printers who have cleaned up their acts we can help our clients reduce their carbon footprints and create more environmentally friendly publications.
We offer staff an interest-free loan to buy bicycles via a government scheme. Our cycle-friendly office offers staff shower facilities and safe storage for their bikes.
Society Media takes positive action on recycling. We want to ensure anything we throw away that can be recycled, is recycled. We have contracted with a recycling company to make fortnightly collections from our office and we're working to reduce the amount of rubbish that we create.
