Community and regeneration
Society Media has a responsibility to the community in which it is based and we are committed to local regeneration and economic growth.
We are based in Hackney, east London. While the area receives a lot of unfair press, it does have pressing social and economic issues. Local regeneration is key to tackling some of these.
Society Media and its sister company Glock are based in an old print works that we renovated to create our offices and to provide space for freelancers and small enterprises working in the creative industries. At the most basic level, this means that local shops, cafés and restaurants benefit from a larger footfall.
We are also committed to procuring from local businesses wherever possible. This includes buying products and services from printers, photographers, film makers, animators, caterers and building contractors based nearby.
